In this video, I look at a website portfolio that has a lot of nice work but needs some editing, tweaking and better organization to really shine.

Tyler does a good job of storytelling and has a keen eye for portraits. His work really shines in these areas, but there is also some work that maybe isn’t as strong and could be cut from his portfolio.

There are too many categories and some of them are completely unnecessary. I like that Tyler shoots film, but the work on film isn’t so different in concept that it requires a separate category.

The social media links are good to see on the site and everybody should be using social media to promote their work and their brand. I took a quick look at Tyler’s Instagram feed and saw that there are cohesive images there that can work well on his website, especially for the lifestyle category.
