Max Hazan of Hazan Motorworks builds one-of-a-kind motorcycles. They’re art pieces. So much so that a couple of his bikes are on their way to an art gallery in Switzerland for an upcoming show. Max custom fabricates just about every component of his motorcycles, starting with a motor that often inspires the direction of the build.
I did a photo shoot of Max with his one-of-a-kind Harley Ironhead and afterwards, we sat down for a candid conversation about his mentality when it comes to building bikes and how he got into building bikes. The motorcycle he talks about in this video started as a Royal Enfield Bullet 500, and as you’ll see and hear, he completely customized everything about it.

This video is a rare opportunity to get inside the head of a true artist and understand the motivation and process behind building epic and unique motorcycles. Even though Max builds his motorcycles to be fully functional, but he prefers they be treated as art.
