In this video, I show you what I consider to be a basic off-camera flash kit. There is so much you can do with one off-camera flash and a convertible umbrella.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with gear and when it comes to flash, you are adding a lot of variables. I suggest you start small, with only one flash and get to know what you can do with just one flash before trying to set up multiple lights.
Here’s what I suggest for a Basic Off-Camera Flash Kit:
– Light Stand
– Convertible Umbrella
– Umbrella Adapter
I often use the Cactus RF60 flash and Cactus V6II trigger because of the ease of use, wireless capability and reliability. There are many options on the market, and I recommend starting with a simple system and building from there.
